Many product pages name the fixture but never explain the parameters that actually shape the site result, such as IP65, IK08 and CCT.
These parameters should be read with the real product and site, such as IP protection for warehouse lights, impact rating for cleanroom fixtures and CCT/CRI for workshop tasks.
IP covers enclosure protection
IP65 and IP66 describe dust and water resistance, but not corrosion, low temperature or explosion protection.
- Check the complete fixture
- Check the installed condition
- Check the environment
IK covers impact resistance
IK08 and IK10 are more about mechanical strength and suit equipment rooms, parking zones and corridors.
- Check mounting height
- Check likely contact points
- Check service method
CCT covers color temperature
3000K, 4000K and 5000K create different visual atmospheres and work habits.
- Keep one CCT per zone
- Check CRI
- Check camera performance
Do not read parameters alone
IP, IK, CCT, CRI and efficacy should be reviewed with the application area, mounting height, maintenance method and acceptance plan.
- Do not scatter parameters
- Connect product notes
- Connect project documents
